About the Role:
Join Karing Hands Provider Services LLC as an Afternoon Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Wooster, OH! This exciting role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities while working in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meal preparation.
- Facilitate community integration and engagement through recreational activities.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in the healthcare or social services field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willing to obtain.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and weekends.
- Experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Must pass background checks and drug screening.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of clients.
